Applying for College Online

College Application Week will take place October 21st – 25th. During this week some colleges offer application fee waiver opportunities. Please click here for more information.  For a list of NC colleges waiving fee click here
  1. Individual college website

  2. CFNC:  Students must use parchment to order their transcript if applying thru CFNC.  See 12th grade counselor for information regarding account set up and individual code.

  3. Common Application: students should check to see if the college they are applying to participates in Common App.  It is easier to fill this out one time and have common app distribute to all of the schools.

     Students will need their counselor’s gmail email to complete the recommender              section and have the transcripts sent.

  4. Residency Determination Service: www.NCresidency.org

      www.cfnc.org/rdsresources has all the information and forms parents/students            need to facilitate this process

**ALL students must apply for this number to use in the college application to qualify for In-state tuition at NC public colleges and universities or to be eligible for NC State Grant consideration at all NC colleges and universities

  5. NCAA Eligibility Center:  All juniors and seniors wanting to play sports in college          must register at the center; especially Division I and II athletes.
