As a public school student in North Carolina, your child will have the opportunity to take advantage of North Carolina’s Career and College Promise (CCP) program during their junior and senior years of high school.  Through CCP, qualified juniors and seniors are able to take select college courses tuition free.

CCP offers two pathways that are applicable to students in our school

  1. College Transfer Pathway - provides tuition-free course credits that count toward the Associate in Arts or Associate in Science and that transfer to public and participating private colleges and universities

  2. Technical Careers Pathway - Earn tuition-free credits toward a job credential, certificate or diploma in a technical career

To be eligible, students must meet the following criteria

  1. Be a high school junior or senior

  2. Have a unweighted GPA of 2.8 on high school courses

  3. Demonstrate college readiness in English, reading and math on an assessment or placement test. (Pre-ACT, ACT, SAT or college placement test scores can meet this requirement.)
